The Laboratory of Economic Analysis and Policy the School of Social Sciences of Hellenic Open University was established with HOP Governing Committee Decision No.331/2.4.2. ακ./29-03-2017 (Published in Official Government Gazette No.2009/2017, Issue Β’, Jun 13, 2017).
Aim-Mission
The purpose of the laboratory is to:
- Meet the teaching and research needs of the School of Social Sciences at undergraduate and postgraduate level in subjects that fall within the laboratory’s area of expertise, as they are described in article 1 of its establishment Decision.
- Promote scientific research in subjects that fall under article 1 of its establishment Decision and comply with the general rules of research and ethics of the university.
- Collaborate with research centers/facilities and Greek or foreign academic institutions, provided that the scientific objectives coincide with or align with or complement those of the laboratory.
- Cooperate with public and private sector organizations in Greece or abroad as well as with international organizations and entities in subjects that coincide or align with the objectives and the area of expertise of the laboratory.
- Organize educational programmes, courses, scientific lectures, seminars, workshops, symposia, conferences and other scientific events, produce publications and other works and invite Greek or foreign recognized scientists and other personalities.
- Provide services in accordance with the relevant provisions.
